Kevin F. Davis

Kevin Davis is the President of Prime Trading, LLC, overseeing day to day management of the firm and is one of five Directors that oversee the company’s strategy and long-term performance on behalf of the owners. 

Kevin has been in the commodity futures and options industry since 1982, after graduating from college. He started in floor operations on the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), eventually becoming floor manager at Collins Commodities, Inc. (now known as Rosenthal Collins Group, LLC). In 1987, the owner of Collins Commodities, Inc., Bob Collins invited Kevin to join a trading entity that would become Prime Trading. Kevin traded in the Soybean Oil option pit successfully until 2013. He then transitioned off the trading floor to begin managing Prime International Trading, Ltd. (PIT) full-time, as its former CEO was preparing to retire. His experience in trading commodity options, as well as options modeling and risk management, are still paying dividends today. 

Kevin has always been of the mindset that our firm needs to comply with all laws, rules, regulations put in place by the various exchanges and regulators with zero tolerance for failure in that respect. He caused internal controls and policies to be put into effect to monitor and ensure traders’ compliance. Neither Prime nor its predecessor firms have ever been censured by any exchange or regulator.
