Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Overnight Junior Trader to support global trading operations during off-peak hours. This role is responsible for monitoring and managing active trading positions across international markets, executing orders with precision across multiple venues, and responding swiftly to market-moving events. The ideal candidate will provide timely market updates and trade summaries to the broader team, assist in system monitoring and troubleshooting, and contribute to ongoing strategy and process improvements. This is a critical role for ensuring 24-hour market coverage and maintaining operational excellence outside of standard trading hours.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor and manage trading positions during overnight hours across global markets
• Execute orders and maintain efficient execution quality across trading venues
• React quickly to market-moving news and events
• Provide market updates and trade summaries to the broader team post-shift
• Assist in system monitoring and troubleshooting during off-peak hours
• Contribute to strategy and process improvements
Qualifications:
• Trading experience, preferably with overnight or international market exposure
• Strong understanding of financial markets and trading mechanics
• Experience with trading platforms
• Comfortable working independently in a high-responsibility environment
• Strong communication and decision-making skills
• Ability to stay focused and alert during overnight hours
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
• Proven ability to work in a collaborative, team-based environment.
Additional Skills (not required):
• Experience with Asian, European, or crypto markets
• Familiarity with Python, SQL, or other scripting tools for trading/analytics
• Market-Making Experience
