Job Description:
Prime Trading is seeking a seasoned Head of Equity Trading Group. The selected individual will generate revenue through providing liquidity to the equity markets, offer internal expertise to fellow traders, and play a crucial role in our firm's growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute and optimize trading strategies across a wide variety of equities.
• Make data-driven decisions across a large universe of symbols.
• Collaborate with our technology team to develop trading tools.
• Conduct post-trade analysis, PnL analysis, and portfolio reviews.
• Research potential trading opportunities and devise new trading strategies in collaboration with our Analytics team.
• Mentor junior traders on trading principles and strategy execution.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of relevant experience trading equities, equity derivatives, and equity indices.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; advanced degrees are a plus.
• Proven ability to successfully manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated discretion in decision-making.
• A collaborative nature and effective communication skills.
• Experience in decision-making and risk management for your group.
• Familiarity with coding and programming languages (Python, C++, C#, R etc...) is advantageous.
Reporting Structure:
The Head of Equity Trading Group will report directly to the Chief Risk Officer and will lead a team of junior traders and analysts.
